Ministers of Agriculture, Trade, and Enterprises Released Agricultural Products from East Java for about Rp 140 Billion

15 March 2021 , 06:53 WIB, GRESIK – Minister of Agriculture, Syahrul Yasin Limpo (SYL); Minister of Trade, Muhammad Lutfi; and Minister of Enterprises, Erick Thohir in the same time released agricultural product exports from East Java Province for about 140 billion. Governor of East Java, Khofifah Indar Parawansa did attend it.

SYL told that in the same time in national level, Ministry of Agriculture through Badan Karantina Pertanian facilitated export certificate to 81,3 thousand tons of agricultural products reaching Rp 1,264 billion. The biggest contribution was from plantation sub sector that reached 78,9 percent and then food plantation, livestock, and horticulture in a row.

“But here in Lamong Bay, the agricultural products of East Java reached Rp 140,03 billion within total volume reaching 5,4 thousand tons and 757 stalks to twelve countries at once,” he said in Lamong Bay, Friday (12/3/21), as in the official statement to

He also mentioned that the agricultural products to export were swift’s nest, woof, premic, dried lizard, dried centipede, coconut, cocoa powder, coffee seeds, and clove.

“These are big numbers of export. I think, what Governor of East Java, Khofifah would do, we – three of us – would support,” SYL said.

He also mentioned that just like President Joko Widodo told, the synergy among every ministry should be escalated as the strategic ways to accelerate the economic recovery nationally in the Covid-19 pandemic.

“Facing pandemic with many impacts should not be done by one sector only. We have to be hand in hand. We come here today to release the exports. Let us boost the exports of our agricultural products,” SYL said.

Meanwhile Minister Muhammad Lutfi also thanked for the export release from the province. The exports should be one factor to increase the exchange in our country.

“Congratulation for the extraordinary exports. We knew that we are the producer, trader, and exporter of one best coffee in the world. We would like to export the prospective products from Indonesia, such as, swift’s nest to make sure that the export could be one of exchange for our country. Hopefully we could evolve from raw material, half product exporter to be product exporter within high technology industries. In the future, hopefully East Java could be the exporter of products from Indonesia,” Lutfi told.

Governor Khofifah told, Ministry of Agriculture keeps strengthening agriculture in the province and in the days to go, East Java would produce ready products to process to supply the international markets. (A2)
