Agricom.id, JAKARTA – Local foods in star hotel that Ministry of Agriculture is doing with Hanara Clinik keeps goig in many regions. After initiating the cooperation with Hotel Accor Group in Bandung, Yogyakarta, the same happens in Hotel Accor Group in Bali, precisely in Sofitel, Nusa Dua, Bali.
"From Bali as the tourism icon internationally, we would like to introduce our local food to eat in star hotels. Kinds of local food, such as, local soybean, cassava, beans, sorghum, porang, are interesting foods, packaged with interesting brand,” General Director of Food Plantation Ministry of Agriculture, Suwandi said in virtual local food consumption action, Thursday (3/6/2021) as in the official statement to Agricom.id.
As the same commitment to develop the local food, in the chance, memorandum of understanding was signed by Ministry of Agriculture, Hotel Accor Group and Agriculture Agency Bali Province. It is about promotion and advantage of local food products to increase the health and service development in hotels.
Suwandi mentioned, MoU should be implemented in the field. The regional government of Bali has published the Governor’s Regulation about local foods in hotel, restaurant, and catering. This could help the farmers, micro, small, medium business (MSMB) as well. This should be running to increase the farmers’ welfare and economy nationally.
“The local food is very good to increase the body stamina,” he said.
Secretary of General Directorate of Food Plantation, Bambang Pamuji said that Ministry of Agriculture is fully committed to help the farmers and MSMB to develop the local food, increase the quality of food with added values, take the hotels, restaurant, and catering to make profitable partnership to get the products.
“This is the real thing from the government to be in synergy with the businessmen and increase the economy through agriculture because agriculture is one of many that runs in the threats of Covid-19 pandemic,” he said.
Head in duty of Agriculture Agency Bali Province, Ketut Lihadnyana said, in the pandemic, the regional government of Bali did welcome the local food consumption action in hotels that Ministry of Agriculture runs in Nusa Dua, Bali.
"This is the real breakthrough that could recover tourism sectors,” he said.
Senior Director Strategic Partnership and National Sales Accor Grup, Helmi Kurniawan told, some hotels do partnership with some farmers and MSMB in some regions to supply local food. It means, the food stocks would not be facing issues.
“The hotels are in partnership with the local farmers to supply foods. Hopefully, there would be no problems,” he said.
In the same chance, there were trainings to advantage and process the local foods to increase body immunity conducted by dr. Hanson that the employees of hotel and officers of local agriculture agency did join. (A2)
